It’s Day 3 of the challenge, how are you doing?
[/op_liveeditor_element]
[op_liveeditor_element data-style=””][text_block style=”style_1.png” align=”left”]I think one of the most important pieces of the healthy living puzzle is PLANNING for success. Would you agree?
You know the saying “When you fail to plan, you plan to fail,” right? I find this to be so very true when it comes to leading a healthy lifestyle. It does take a little planning, but it’s well worth it.
This is one of the most common challenges that come up when I’m working with my clients – they have fallen into the trap of flying by the seat of their pants, and they end up feeling stressed and guilty. Can you relate?
If you find yourself struggling to get through the day, feeling stressed about figuring out what to make for dinner, and not finding time to exercise, a little advanced planning might just make a huge difference for you. I know it helps me a TON!
When you look at your week ahead of time (Saturday or Sunday is great for this), you can be proactive with finding time to exercise and prepare healthy meals. What do you need to have ready for the week in order to be more prepared?
Look at your calendar and see what days and times you can exercise. On those super busy days, can you find 20-30 minutes for some kind of physical activity? Maybe take a walk or do yoga at home.
Plug it into your calendar as if it’s an important appointment, so you don’t forget. Plan ahead the night before to get your workout clothes ready, so you’ll be ready to go.
If I left things to chance, I would probably never exercise or cook very many meals at home. If I don’t include it as a part of my daily plan, it just won’t happen.
We’re all busy, and have a million things to juggle, and this is why planning is so important to your success.
On crazy, hectic days perhaps that’s a perfect night for a Crock-Pot meal. I think the Crock-Pot was one of the best inventions ever! Just place your ingredients in the slow cooker in the morning, set it on low, and there you go – dinner will be ready and waiting for you later. Dreamy!
